TURN YOUR BIGGEST BILL INTO WEALTH

Turn your biggest bill into lasting wealth.

Most successful owners and high earners are quietly losing the game of taxes — overpaying by 10× or more. Not for lack of income, but because no one ever taught them how the wealthy position it.

This book is the compass. Short enough to read in an afternoon — the mindset, the frameworks, and the single next move. Not another 400-page manual.

Written by a practicing CPA who spent 15+ years and six figures studying the tax code most advisors never touch — then proved every principle across a dozen of his own businesses.
The quiet problem

You've watched that check leave every April — and called it the cost of doing well.

The money flows out the door year after year, shrinking the business, the retirement, the giving, the legacy. The returns are perfectly compliant. The CPA did exactly what you paid for.

But compliance was never the same thing as planning. Filing your taxes records the past. Planning changes the future. This book is about the second one.

A look inside

Six principles the ultra-wealthy actually use

None of them are secret. None are illegal. They simply aren't taught — so you study the people who run them, and learn to run the same plays at your scale.

01
Build wealth through assets, not income
Why Buffett's wealth grew $24B while the tax on that growth sat near zero.
02
Buy, borrow, die
Fixed-rate debt against appreciating assets in an inflationary economy: compounding, tax-free.
03
Tax-advantaged vehicles
The same move that turned Thiel's $1,700 into billions — none of it taxable when sold.
04
Own nothing, control everything
How families like the Rockefellers shield wealth from taxes, lawsuits, and time.
05
Plan generational wealth
Why 90% of families lose it by the third generation — and what the ones who don't do differently.
06
Don't let money sit lazy
Cash in the bank is taxed, eroded by inflation, and compounding at zero. Put it to work.

Then the book hands you the map — the Six Dimensions of tax planning and the five lanes (personal, business, real estate, investment, estate) — and tells you exactly which one to play first.

My story

How a $650 invoice and a tax bill I couldn't fix turned into fifteen years of finding the answer.

The $35,560 moment

Less than a year into my career as a CPA, a new client named Tom sat across from me to review the return I'd labored over — more than eighty pages, perfectly compliant. He never made it past the cover. He just stared at what he owed: $35,560. How do I owe that much? Where am I going to get it? What can I do to lower it?

I slid my $650 invoice across the table and felt my face flush. I had done exactly what he paid me for — and I had no answer to the only question that mattered. That day I made a promise: I would find real ways for people like Tom to keep their hard-earned money.

Three walls

Finding those answers was harder than I imagined. My university textbooks had nothing. The AICPA tax manuals I bought were compliance guides. Continuing-education classes moved nothing. I called other CPAs and heard the same line: we don't do planning, we just file the returns. So I went to the source — the tax code itself — and drowned in its complexity. Then came tax court, the IRS hit lists, the blurry line between what's legal and what isn't. Three walls stood between me and the answer to Tom's questions.

Fifteen years

Over the last fifteen years I've spent thousands of hours in the tax code and well over a hundred thousand dollars on courses, software, and collaborations with the family-office advisors, attorneys, and accountants who serve multi-million- and billion-dollar clients. As my own firm grew, I ran into the very same tax problems as my clients — so I became an entrepreneur myself, with more than a dozen businesses and several real estate syndicates. Everything in this book, I've first proven in my own life.

What I actually found

The breakthrough wasn't a pile of clever strategies. It was realizing that the value I delivered never came from knowing the tax code — it came from a mindset, and a set of frameworks, that the wealthy have used for generations to position their wealth. The wealthy guide the direction; their experts handle the details. That is what I want to put in your hands.

Dedication

"Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."— 1 Corinthians 10:31

Jesus laid down His life for me, so that I may live the rest of my life and eternity for Him. This book is an extension of my love for God, as I desire that He might take the blessing with which He has blessed me and pour it out through my life. I feel called — even compelled — to write this book. I pray that through these pages you will be blessed, that your business will prosper, and that through you, others will be blessed also, to the glory of God.

To my wife, Ruth — I love you with all my heart. To my daughters — Eva, Norah, Violet, Piper, Charlotte, Marion, Selah, and Bethany — you are precious and beautiful to me, and in the Lord's sight. Pursue Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, wherever He may lead you.
